Reports have emerged stating that British-Nigerian rapper, Skepta, was asked to leave the recent British Grand Prix held at Silverstone due to concerns that he might have been in possession of illegal drugs. The incident has sparked discussions among fans and media about the circumstances surrounding his exit from the event.

The grime artist, who was a guest of Formula One during practice and qualifying sessions at Silverstone had been due to attend the race a few days later, which was won by Red Bull’s Max Verstappen.

Skepta completed a hot lap with McLaren’s Lando Norris and partied with fans ahead of a launch party for the Grand Prix on 6 July, but was later ejected after officials claimed they could smell cannabis whilst he was conducting media interviews.

According to Mail Online, the rapper's invitation to the race itself was also revoked.
