President Buhari, who warned those trying to undermine the interest of the party to desist, emphasised that they are on their own.

He said their utterances were inadvertently providing the opposition with grounds to undermine and reduce the chance of APC and its candidates.
The Presidency, in a statement by Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, said President Buhari, by his nature, will not side with anyone hurting the interests and chances of the party. The statement advised those who have defected from the party and those who have taken the party to court to pull the brake.
